About Me

Dr. Taylor Saunders is a clinical psychologist with experience providing services across the age span of early childhood through adulthood.


Dr. Saunders’ areas of clinical expertise include relational challenges, emotion regulation, somatic concerns, traumatic stress, disruptive behavior, as well as adjustment and coping support related to chronic illness or injury.


The foundation of Dr. Saunders’ training is as a generalist (children, adolescents, and adults); however, she has specializations in Child and Adolescent Psychology and Pediatric Psychology. Dr. Saunders has functioned as a member of an inpatient behavioral health consultation and liaison team within a pediatric medical setting and also has experience within community mental health and local outpatient group practice.


Her practice style includes person-centered, interpersonal, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, behavioral, and trauma-focused therapies, with a focus on the underlying elements of attachment.


Dr. Saunders is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and holds Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. Dr. Saunders completed her pre-doctoral internship at Cherokee Health Systems in Knoxville, Tennessee and her post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Psychology and Psychosomatic Medicine at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
